The story is of the Whitfield family who joins for Christmas for the first time in many years. Looks like a feel good family movie that will appeal to the younger crowd with Chris Brown who also does a cover of the title song "This Christmas", a Soul Christmas classic by Donnie Hathaway.

In "The Perfect Holiday" Gabrielle Union plays a busy, divorced mother of three. When she takes her kids to the mall to meet Santa Claus, her youngest daughter overhearing her mom say that "all she wanted for Christmas was a compliment from a man", ask Santa for just that. Well Santa turns out to be a struggling songwriter played by Morris Chestnut, who delivers just what she wants for Christmas, and much, much more. Also featuring Terrence Howard, Katt Williams and Charlie Murphy, this film is produced by Queen Latifah and Shakim Compere!
